A Fairytale I Fear and Dream of Living
this castle was never our home,
but we like to pretend to belong,
there was just some extra room
for two lost souls who thought
they had found heaven.
We ran for too long, it was getting dark
so we made up a fairytale and called it a day
that crown was always too heavy
I broke my neck just watching you wear it.
We never said much,
sitting in comfortable silence always felt enough
words weren’t worthy to carry what needed to be said,
all it took was one glance
and we got what was going on in each other’s minds
I saw the spark in your eyes and I knew it was time to run
that it is time to grab your hand and never look back,

You said: “I remember the last time I saw my mother, she joked that i would jump into fire if you asked me to, I bet she forgot that I’m not brave enough, that I’d only do it if you held my hand and jumped with me”
